Her parents were John Prather and Mary Adair. She lived with her parents and siblings on her father's farm. She was married to Joseph Dollar in about 1811 in Laurens County, South Carolina. In 1814 Hannah and Joseph wrote a letter to the parents of Joseph. His parents had relocated to Indiana along with all of Joseph's siblings except for his brother William. In the letter she made outlines of the hand prints of her three children at the time and included their names and dates of birth. William married Hannah's sister, Verlinda in 1813. Hannah and Joseph started their family.THey lived their lives on the farm near the Enoree River in Laurens County. The family lived in Laurens County until about 1831. Hannah removed with her husband and children to Meriwether County, Georgia. She and her family lived on land that her husband purchased in 1832. The land where she and her family lived was a lot of 202 acres on the western side of the county at the county line with Troup. Their land was near the large plantation of Simeon Poteet. One of Hannah's sons, Brice Dollar, was an overseer on that plantation. One of her other sons, Salathiel Dollar, was also an overseer. Hannah and Joseph had 13 children among these 7 sons and 5 daughters that are known. Her husband died in June of 1833. As a widow she continued to care for her family and lived on the plantation until her death in October of 1853. Hannah had many grandchildren and great grand children. Her descendants spread into Alabama and beyond. The location of her and her husband's burial is unknown. Additional Comments: Hannah was the 4th great grandmother of contributor.
