The cemetery has been damaged by fallen trees. Unfortunately some graves have been completely destroyed over the past 20 years from bushhogging and clearing of the timber near the cemetery. Read by Gretchen Turner, Anne Turner, Warren Turner, and Priscilla Turner. This cemetery has gone by several names. It was located on what was later known as the Wood Plantation. Darden, Lovett, and Turner families are known buried there. It was also known at one time as the Thrash Cemetery -- so we assume they are there also. Margreta Dozier Stozier family married into the Thrash family. Turner whose father, Clarence Turner, told him P.M. Turner was b uried here. The information came from the Turner Family Bible and the "Meriwether Vindicator", Vol. 3 No. 14 issued 26 Mar 1875" Priscilla Turner This Cemetery is located at Fern Road which is a dirt road going to the right from GA Spur 109 when going from Greenville to Gay, GA.It is on the right just after you turn onto Fern Road. I am not sure that much is still there.I could not find it in May 2005.
