All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Gary Hawley ghawley@cablelynx.com November 14, 2004, 10:49 pm Lot 43 Seventh District Written: January 23 1829 Recorded: February 17 1829 Georgia ) Monroe County ) This indenture made and entered into this the 23rd day of January One thousand eight hundred and twenty nine between John Doss of the county of Gwinnett of the one part and William Beauchamp of the county of Monroe both of the state aforesaid Witnesseth that the said John Doss for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said William Beauchamp at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained sold and deeded and conveyed and by these presents bargain sell and convey unto the said William Beauchamp his heirs and assigns that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Troup now Meriwether County known and distingushed in the plan of the Seventh district of said County and Lot (No. 43) forty three containing (202) two hundred two and half acres be it the same more or less the said lot of land was granted to the said John Doss on the tenth day of January 1829 to have and to hold said tract or parcel of Land unto him the said William Beauchamp his heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereto to the same or in any wise appertaining thereto to his and their own proper use benefit and enjoyment forever in simple and the said John Doss for himself his heirs executors and administrators and assigns the said bargain premises unto the said William Beauchamp his heirs and assigns will warrant and defend the title thereof against themselves and against the claim or claims of any person persons whatever – In testimony whereof I the said John Doss have set my hand and seal this the same day and date first above written.
