This Indenture, made this fifth day of June in the year of our Lord one 
thousand eight hundred and thirty-two and of the Independence of the United 
States of America, the fifty sixth, between John A. Groce of said state and 
County of Scriven administrator of the estate of Edmund Groce late of said 
state and county of Scriven deceased, of the one part, and Elisha Kindall of 
the County of Meriwether of the other part, witnesseth, that whereas, by virtue 
of an order granted by the honorable court of ordinary of the County of 
Scriven, on the first Monday in February last to the said John A. Groce, to 
sell a tract of land belonging to said estate, situate, lying and being in said 
state and in the County of Troup formerly but now the County of Meriwether and 
in the Eighth District of said county, known and distinguished by the number 
two hundred and fourteen in said district containing two hundred two and a half 
acres more or less. And after the same was duly advertised in the Public 
Gazette he in conformity to the law, the same was put up and exposed to Public 
Sale to the highest bidder at the door of the Court House of said County of 
Meriwether within the legal hours of sale, on the first Tuesday of the present 
month, by the said John A. Groce, administrator as aforesaid, when the same was 
knocked off to the said Elisha Kindall at the price or sum of fifty dollars he 
being the highest bidder. Now for and in consideration of said sum of fifty 
dollars in hand paid to him the said, John A. Groce by the said Elisha Kindall 
at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is 
hereby acknowledged he the said John A. Groce administrator as aforesaid, hath 
granted, bargained, and sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain and 
sell unto him the said Elisha Kindall the before named and bargained with all 
the improvements and assurances thereunto belonging or in any wise ascertaining 
unto him the said Elisha Kindall and his heirs and assigns to his and their own 
proper use and benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. And the said John A. 
Groce administrator as aforesaid, the below named land with all the 
improvements and assurances thereunto belonging or in any wise ascertaining 
unto him the said Elisha Kindall and his heirs and assigns shall and will 
warrant and forever defend the legal and equitable title against himself and 
all and every other person or persons whatever as far as in law or equity he 
may be bound to do as administrator as aforesaid in witness whereof the said 
John A. Groce administrator as aforesaid hath hereunto set his hand and affixed 
his seal the day and date above written.
