Thomas http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00016.html#0003785 September 6, 2007, 2:55 pm Land Lot 68 of the 9th District Written: July 31, 1848 Recorded: December 6, 1849 Meriwether County, Georgia – Warranty Deed – Book J, Page 128 This Indenture made this the thirty-first day of July one thousand eight hundred and forty-eight between Ellison Groce of the one part and Amanuel Finley of the other part, both of the County and State aforesaid. Witnesseth that the said Ellison Groce for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred dollars in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Amanuel Finley his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the ninth district of originally Troup now Meriwether County. Known and distinguished in plan of said district by part of No. sixty-eight (68) containing one hundred and twenty-six acres more or less with a reserve of five acres to E. R. Carter Dixon M___y and Waddell also one acre deeded to David V. Norman all on the west side of the lot and ten acres off E. R. Carter’s lot in the southeast corner of said lot. To have and to hold the said bargained premises unto the said Amanuel Finley his heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights members reversions rents profits and appurtenances thereof to the same in any manner belonging to him and their own proper use benefit & behoof forever in fee simple. And the said Ellison Groce for himself his heirs executors and administrators the said bargained premises unto the said Amanuel Finley his heirs executors administrators and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and the title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all and every other person or persons whomsoever.
