DEED OF RANSOM RAY TO JANE FARER 1833

State of Georgia
Meriwether County
This Indenture made this 23rd day of January in the year of our Lord One 
thousand eight hundred and thirty three between Ransom Ray of the County of 
Meriwether & State of Georgia of the one part, and Jane Farer of the same 
County & State of the other part.  Witnesseth that the said Ransom Ray for and 
in consideration of the sum of Eighty dollars to him in hand paid at and before 
the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby 
acknowledged hath granted, bargained, sold, Conveyed and by these presents doth 
grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto her the said Jane Farer her heirs 
executors & admins. a certain piece or parcel pf Land with the appurtenances 
and improvements on the same lying and being in the 11th district in the County 
aforesaid Known and distinguished by No. One hundred & Ten in said district 
containing Fifty acres more or less the same being drawn by Ransom & Solomon 
Ray as orphans the Southwest corner of said Lott [sic], together with all and 
singular the numbers rights privileges & appurtenances to the said fifty acres 
of Land belonging or any wise appertaining unto the said Jane Farer her heirs 
and assigns in fee simple, to her own proper use and behoof forever and the 
said Ransom Ray for himself his heirs executors & admins. doth warrant and 
defend the right & title of said land unto he said Jane Farer her heirs & the 
right & title and lawful claim of all persons whomsoever.  In testimony whereof 
I hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

deposeth and saith that they saw Ransom Ray sign, seal, deliver the written
