Witnesseth that the said Thomas Ray for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained, sold, allinied and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, aline, convey and confirm unto the said James Leman his heirs and assigns that lot of land situate lying and being in the ninth district of Troup County known and distinguished in the plan of said district by the number one hundred and six (No. 106) containing two hundred two and a half acres more or less. To have and to hold the said lot of land with all and singular the rights numbers and appurtenances thereof whatsoever to the said lot of land being belonging or in any wise appertaining with the remainder and remainders, reversion and reversions, rents issues and profits thereof to the duly proper use benefit and behoof of him the said James Leman his heirs executors administrators and assigns in fee simple, and the said Thomas Ray for himself his heirs executors and administrators the said bargained premises unto the said James Leman his heirs executors administrators and assigns against the said Thomas Ray his heirs executors and administrators and all and every other person shall and will forever warrant and defend by virtue of these presents. In witness whereof the said Thomas Ray hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal this day and year first above written.
