DEED OF RANSOM RAY TO BARTHOLOMEW TAYLOR 1836

Meriwether County

This indenture made this the eighteenth day of June Eighteen hundred and thirty 
six between Ransom Ray of the one part, and State above mentioned and 
Bartholomew Taylor of the other part, and of the County of Meriwether and State 
above mentioned Witnesseth that the said Ransom Ray for and in consideration of 
the sum of Eighty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is being 
acknowledged hath granted and do by these presents grant bargain and sell unto 
the said Bartholomew Taylor all that tract or parcel of land situate in the 
Eleventh District of originally Troup now Meriwether County it being fifty 
acres of the Southwest Corner of lot No. One hundred and forty three in said 
district.  To have and to hold the above bargained premises unto the said 
Bartholomew Taylor himself his heirs and assigns together with the right 
members and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining for 
his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple and the 
said Ransom Ray for himself his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever 
defend the right and title of the above bargained premises unto the said 
Bartholomew Taylor his heirs and assigns and against the claims of all other 
person or persons whatsoever.  In witness whereof the said Ransom Ray hath 
hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.
