Witnesseth that I the said Ray as aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars to me in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have this day bargained and sold and do by these presents bargain, sell and convey unto the said John Cargile all my right, title, interest or claim in me vested, either in my own right or in right of my wife, Cassey in the lot of land No. (205) two hundred and five, in the ninth District of said County, it being one third part of said lot of land, Containing sixty-seven acres more or less, which described land and premises I the said Ray do forever relinquish from myself, my heirs and assigns unto him the said Cargile his heirs and assigns to their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. In testimony whereof I the said Ransom and Cassey have hereunto set our seals the day and year first above written. Phillips Georgia Meriwether County Personally appeared before me Lewis Williams an acting Justice of the Peace in said County, J. A. T. Phillips and after being duly sworn deposeth and saith that he saw Ransom Ray and Cassa Ray sign. Seal and deliver the written deed for the purposes wherein mentioned, and subscribed as a witness and saw Alsa Whitton do so likewise. Sworn to and subscribed before me this first day of March 1839.
