Chalybeate Spring. Prof Duesberry will open a Dancing Academy on 1st of June. Chalybeate Spring. This spot so celebrated for its health and natural beauty has been recently much improved by the present Proprietor, Dr. Leitner. The cabins have been newly painted and whitewashed and the Spring without any change in the original formation has been walled in with marble and enclosed by an elegant circular structure with green latttices and a cemented floor. The old Ball Room has been converted into two comfortable parlors for Ladies and a new Dancing Salon some distance removed from the main building, is now far advanced toward completion. The Dr. will have the whole lighted with gas. If refined society, excellent medical water, good eating and drinking, kind attention, together with music and dancing can cheer the invalid and make the healthy thankful for blessings, then the Chalybeate will be the great Summer resort. With such an attraction in our very midst , it is a wonder to us that any Southerner would go to Saratoga or even to Virginia to be eased of his cash, be snubbed by greedy Landlords and impudent Servants and pant for breath in small close rooms piled up with tremendous trunks and bandboxes and tortured at last to death by perfumed fops, mock noblemen and flippant senseless belles. We too often spurn the treasures at our feet to follow the phantom pleasure in intricate mazes through the world.
