When the call was made, he respon- ded, and joined Capt. Clements com- pany, 41st. Ga. Reg't. It was char- acteristic of the man to be always at his post. Brother Harman joined the M. E. Church in early life, never made any loud profession of religion, nor os- tentatious display of piety, for he was always modest and unassuming. But if a love and reverence for the word of God, a proverbial honesty and up- righteousness of character, and a kind and benevolent heart, are sufficient evidense of christianity, then James Harman was a christian. A brave and noble Soldier has laid aside his habiliments of warfare, for we hope the golden harp of perpetual praise to our God. He leaves an affectionate wife and two children to mourn his irreparable loss. JOSEPH BRADFIELD. LaGrange Reporter please copy and forward bill to the above.
