Hudson whose application is herewith presented for a pension, that he has resided in this State continuously all his life, that he served in Company A of the 60th Regiment of Evan's Brigade, and from our personal knowledge he was injured by the service as follows: He was wounded by gunshot at Spotsilvania(sic), Va. on 12th day of May 1864 through his left thigh near his body & for a long time was rendered almost helpless and was sent home and was never able to return to his command afterwards. He has been a sufferer ever since and much of his time is almost helpless & has to use a stick to get about. It is impossible for him to do ordinary manual labor, and we say that his disability and helpless physical condition is the result of said wound. We personally know above stated facts. Applicant is permanently disabled as stated and has been so to our certain knowledge ever since 1864. We have no interest in the recovery of a pension by him.
