Marriage & Death Notices from The Southern Christian Advocate, 1837-1860, Issue of October 1, 1852 
My mother, Jane M'Carty, wife of Marshall Martin, of Meriwether County, 
Georgia, died 22nd August, the anniversary of her marriage which took place A. 
D. 1800.  She was the only child of John and Elizabeth Oliver, who removed 
from S. C. near Ninety-Six where she was born, to Broad River in Wilkes 
County, when she was about seven years old...W. D. Martin.
