DIED.

MURPHY-Died, near Grantville, Ga., on the 15th inst., in the 37th year of her 
age, Mrs. Susan A. Murphy, wife of W. D. Murphy, and daughter of William B. 
Smith, of this city, Clerk of U. S. Court.  She had lived the life of a 
consistent christian member of the Methodist Church, exhibiting in her last 
illness, which was long and severe, the most calm resignation to the will of 
God.

1870 Mortality Schedule for Meriwether county:

Murphy, Susan, White, Age 36, born in Georgia, died in May, cause Puerperal 
fever.
Murphy, Emma, White, Age 1, born in Georgia, died in August, cause Cholera 
Infantum.
