Meacham, 87, of 856 Park St. SW, died in a private hospital. Born in Meriwether County, Mr. Meacham lived Atlanta and Jacksonville, Fla. Formerly a teacher in an Atlanta business school, Mr. Meacham lived here about 45 years. Gravesite services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Hogansville. Survivors include a son. Hudson P. Meacham, Orlando, Fla.; and three daughters, Mrs. H.S. O’Dell, Hempstead, L.I., N.Y., Miss Elizabeth Meacham, New York, N.Y., and Mrs J.B. Simmons, Fayetteville, N.C.” Additional Comments: Additional information 2-22-2005 by Grandson Hudson Peavy Meacham, Jr. and Great Grandson Daniel (Dan) Weedon Meacham. A marker was added to his gravesite by his family in the Hogansville Cemetery, which is now called Myrtle Hill. He was buried with his sister Zeno Lexobia (Lex) MEACHAM Smith and her husband Reuban R, Smith. The Smith’s lived in Hogansville, Troup County before moving to Atlanta.
