The cemetery has been damaged by fallen trees. Unfortunately some graves have been completely destroyed over the past 20 years from bushhogging and clearing of the timber near the cemetery. ADDITIONAL NOTES: It is believed a log cabin was first built before the other Darden house which was built in 1849 about a mile southwest of the Darden Cemetery. Just outside the cemetery are the remains of the later Darden house.
