F. Smith, the contracting partners being Mr. J. T. Wynn and Miss Minnie Lee Smith. Promptly at 4 p.m. the attendants, Mr. Harris Mayfield, Miss May Smith, Mr. Howard Smith and Miss Sulie Barintine entered the parlor, followed by the bridal pair; the bride was daintily attired in a lovely white organdy; following the responses of the groom with clear, sweet voice as her pastor, Rev. William Brown, in a brief and impressive ceremony pronounced the words which joined them as one. The groom is a trusted young business man of LaGrange, of worthy character, and the bride is an attractive young lady of amiable disposition and earnest Christian qualities. The happy couple leave today for LaGrange, their future home, followed by the good wishes of their many friends. From the Bullochville Era, reprinted in The Meriwether County Vindicator, June 12, 1903
