Item 1 I consign my body to the dust from whence it came, and my spirit to God who gave it. Item 2 I give and bequeath to my son James Bell my Negro woman Jane and her child William Henderson after my death at the appraisement value. Item 3 I give and bequeath after my death my Negro boy Allen to my daughter Lucinda Jourdan during her natural life and afterwards to her bodily heirs. Item 4 I give and bequeath after my death my Negro girl (could be Nancy) Ann to my daughter Nancy kempson during her natural life then to her bodily heirs. Item 5 I give and begueath to my two daughters Lucinda Jourdan and Nancy Kempson my lot and two quilts and one counterpane a piece. I desire, give and bequeath to my granddaughter Nancy Elizabeth Bell, daughter of George A. Hall one hundred dollars, and if she should die without an heir, the said hundred dollars to revert back to my children. Item 6 I request an upon my death that my land and all of my stock and farming tools, wagons, and buggy together with my household funiture except the articles named in the fifth item to be sold. Item 7 I desire after my death that all of my property both real and personal shall be appraised and equal distribution between all of my children made. If the Negroes should be appraised to more than the distribution share of those to whom I have willed them-for them to pay sufficient to make them equal. Item 8 I make and appoint and my son James Bell executor to this my last will and testament. Test J.P.
