[No signature appears but Dav Additional Comments: Robert Boyd, b. abt 1760-1765, came from Newberry County, SC, to Meriwether County, GA, sometime after 1830. He appears in the 1830 census for Newberry County with his wife, Rosannah Stewart, and two of his youngest children who still remained at home, David B. Boyd and Frances Boyd. Both David and Frances (Fanny) married after they arrived in Georgia. In 1840, Robert lived with his oldest son, William Boyd, in Meriwether County. He died late in 1846 or early in 1847. Since his wife is not mentioned in the will, it is presumed that she died before 1840. Robert's burial place is unknown, but there are several family cemeteries with unmarked graves in the vicinity of the Boyd land in Meriwether. All of Robert's known living children except one son, John Boyd, and one daughter, Mary Boyd Achison, also lived in Meriwether. Most surviving family members moved from Meriwether to Carroll County, GA, between 1850 and 1860 File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/meriwether/wills/boyd545wl.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 7.1 Kb
