(Will Book A, p106, Meriwether CO.) I William Chappell Senior being in a low state of health but sound in mind and memory knowing that it is appointed for man to die, I now Comit my wish or will to writing. I desire my body to be put away in a descent Mannor and my Soul to its Maker, from whence it came with a hope of --- immediately. It is my desire that all my just debts first be paid. Item 1st: I will and bequeath my beloved wife Margaret Chappell the use of all my property that is not bequeathed in this will during her widowhood or natural life to use as she may think proper for Support or for the good of the Estate for the --- loss --- time. Second: I Will and bequeath to my daughter Mary Ann Amanda Chappell a bedstead, Bed and furniture, a Sow and pigs, a pair of Sheep and a Cow. 3rd: I Will and bequeath to my Son Henry Park Chappell, a ball Bay horse that I now own, a sow and pigs, two sheep and a Cow, also the same amount of Land as the rest of the Boys has had, with two Volumes of the New Testament Commentaries by Clark. 4th: I will and bequeath to my son William Chappell a --- of sheep, having received the ---. 5: It is my wish that the balance of my Estate, when the above time is expired, be equally divided amongst my Surviving Children I also wish Susannah Lankford's Children to have The legacy of a legatee divided among them equally. 6th: I Leave my Wife, Margaret Chappell, --- with Clinton A.
