Dunlap of said State and County, being of advanced age and knowing that I must shortly depart this life, deem it right and proper both as respects my family and myself that I should make a disposition of the property with which a kind providence has blessed me, do therefore make this my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all others heretofore made by me. Item 1st. I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent and Christian like manner suitable to my circumstances and condition in life. My soul I trust shall return to rest with God who gave it as I hope for eternal salvation thereafter the merits and atonement of the blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Item 2nd. I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid without delay by my Executors hereinafter appointed, as I am unwilling my creditors should be delayed in their rights especially as there is no necessity for delay. Item 3rd. I give, bequeath and devise to my beloved wife Frances Dunlap, my home place near Rocky Mount on which I now live consisting of two hundred and seventy five acres and being whole of lot No. 121 and seventy five acres off of lot No. 120 in the 10th District of Meriwether County, Georgia for and during the term of her natural life and at her death said home place is to go to and be inherited by my son Robert R. I also give, bequeath and devise to my said wife all the household and kitchen furniture, one buggy and one horse or mule to be selected by her, also for and during her natural life and at her death to be equally divided between my children then in life and the child or children of any who may have died. I also give bequeath and devise to my wife as soon after my death as practicable the sum of five hundred dollars in cash money. The above bequest made to my wife are in lieu of her whole dower and twelve months support. Item 4th. It is my will and desire and I so direct that one acre of ground upon which is located the family cemetery on the home place be reserved and kept as a family burial ground, and I direct my Executors hereinafter named to set aside one hundred dollars out of my estate and put it at interest and spend the interest annually in keeping said cemetery or burial grounds in repair. Item 5th. If any of my children or grandchildren are indebted to my estate at the time of my death by note or account or otherwise they shall pay off and settle the same with my Executors before receiving their distributive share of my estate. Item 6th. I desire and direct that all of my personal property not herein bequeathed shall be sold according to law and converted into cash and the proceeds after paying specific legacies and expenses of administration shall be equally divided between my children then in life and the child or children of any who may have died, the children taking "per capita" and the grandchildren per stipend. Item 7th. The residue of my estate consisting chiefly if not entirely of real estate, I desire and direct shall be equally divided in kind if my Executors think practicable and the legatees can agree, and if not, then I direct that it should be sold and the proceeds equally divided between my children John D.
