Will of Louisa Hall 13 Jan 1873 Meriwether County, GA Meriwether Co., GA, Will Book B, p. 202 (Note -- Minutes of the Court of the Ordinary, Meriwether Co., GA, Sept. Term 1867, p. 259, identify Louisa Hall as the mother of Belle Hall, "minor of Hugh Hall decd.") Georgia Meriwether Co. In the name of God, Amen. I Louisa Hall of said State and County being of sound mind and memory and knowing the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, deem it right and proper both as respects myself and daughter that I should make a disposition of the property with which a kind Providence has blessed me. I therefore make this my last will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made. Item First. I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent and Christian like manner, suitable to my circumstances and condition. Item Second. I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid without delay by my Executor hereinafter named as I am unwilling my creditors should be delayed of their rights, especially as there is no necessity for delay. Item Third. I give bequeath and devise to my daughter Belle Hall my [illeg.] interest in my land, it being one half of three hundred acres, known and distinguished as Lot number one hundred and ninety-two and east half of two hundred and fifty two, lying and being the eighth district of said County adjoining (Mrs?) Ector, together with the rights, (members?) and appurtenances thereunto belonging. Item Fourth. I give and bequeath to my aforesaid daughter Belle Hall, all my household and kitchen furniture, consisting of two bedsteads and feather beds with the furniture, bed clothes &c together with one bureau. Item Fifth. I hereby nominate and appoint my Father Jos. H. Gaston with full power as my trustee [illeg.] [illeg.] the control and management of the (pecuniary?) interest also effects of my said daughter, commending hereto his fatherly care and protection. Item Sixth. It is my desire and request that Mrs. Dr. Hall of said County (a relative) take charge of my said daughter Belle and raise her in the Duty of what she deem right as one of her own children. Item Seventh. I hereby nominate and appoint my said trustee Jos. H. Gaston my Executor to this my last will and Testament.
