I, Silas Mote of said County and State being of advanced age but of sound and disposing mind and memory knowing that I must shortly depart this life deem it right and proper, both as required my family and myself that I should make a disposition of the property which a Kind Providence has blessed me. I do therefore make this my last will and testament hereby revoking and annulling all others by me heretofore made. I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent like manner suitable to my circumstances and condition in life. My soul I trust shall return to rest with God who gave it as I hope for salvation through the merits and atonement of the blessed Lord and savior Jesus Christ. I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid without delay by my executor heretofore named and appointed. I bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Mote all of my property after my just debts are paid during her natural life. After her death, my will is, after her death, that my property be equally divided between my lawful heirs except for the place that I now live on. Thirty two acres more or less of lot of land no fifty five that to be disposed of hereafter. I hereby constitute and appoint my friend James A. Rowe executor of this my last will and testament, this April 21, 1874. Silas Mote Signed, sealed, and declared and published by Silas Mote as his last will and testament in the presence of us the undersigned who subscribed our names hereto in the presence of said testator and his special insistence and request and in the presence of each other, April 21, 1874.
