Kenan, volunteers for a campaign in Florida, commenced its march from Milledgeville, on the afternoon of the 9th instant. It is a most effective corps, consisting of about eighty men, youthful, hardy, and intelligent, and led by an officer of superior energy and talent. The bear superb short rifles, with an ample supply of side arms. We trust they will be furnished with swords and horsemans' pistols, before they commence operations against the Seminoles. Many a heart now throbs with intense anxiety for their welfare: many a fervent prayer ascends to heaven for their safety. Their honor we know they will gallantly maintain. In the noble reiver of the brave, they will earn a distingushed rank. They will bear through life, the proud recollections of hardships endured, and of dangers encountered, to drive a horde of treacherous and ferocious savages from the peninsula of Florida.
