John Floyd - Daniel Newman Division at Camp Hope near Fort Hawkins, GA. Battles this unit participated in: Ortisa Town and Colibes. Enlisted August 25, 1813, Discharged March 9, 1814, at Milledgeville, Georgia. Brittain made $8.00 per month while enlisted. His first son was named after his commanding officer, General John Floyd.
