RETURN BODIES
Chronicle Bureau, Brian Bell, Mgr.
Columbia, S. C., June 15. --


The  bodies  of  forty  soldiers  who  gave  their  lives
for  their  country  overseas  during  the  war  are  now
en  route  to  Columbia  and  will  be  sent  from  here
to  their  former  homes  under  military  escort  from
Camp  Jackson.   The  soldiers  are  from  the  two
Carolinas,  Georgia  and  Florida.


The  Georgians:


  First  Lieut.  Carroll  W.  Deal.  160th.  Inf.,  Tennille,  Ga.
  Pvt.  Isadore  Ivey,  342nd.  Labor  Battalion,  Warthen.
  Pvt.  Ed  Evans,  342nd.  Labor  Battalion,  Washington.
  Pvt.  Clarence  Hurt,  539nth.  Inf.,  Woodville.
  Pvt.  Tommie  Dudley,  305th.  Labor  Battalion,  Wrightsville.
  Pvt.  Burt  S.  O'Neal,  314th.  Labor  Battalion,  Helena.
  Pvt.  Lonnie  L. Smith,  4th.  Ammunition  Train,  Quitman.
  Pvt.  Louis  O.  Stanford,  321st.  Field  Artillery,  Statesboro.
  Pvt.  Sam  Kelley,  308th.  Labor  Battalion,  Sylvania.
  Pvt.  Benj.  Webster,  314th.  Labor  Battalion,  Townsend.

RETURN BODIES
