J. I. McLendon

Colquitt, Ga. - The funeral service of John Ivey McLendon, 82, who died 
Monday, was to be conducted at 4 p. m. today at the New Salem Free Will 
Baptist Church with interment in the Primitive Union Cemetery in Miller 
County.

A native of Miller County, Mr. McLendon was a retired farmer.  He was a 
member of the Salem Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Joe Lane McLendon of Colquitt; two daughters, Mrs. 
Herbert Perry of Colquitt and Mrs. Bob Josey of Jacksonville, Fla.; three 
brothers, Raubon McLendon, Cecil McLendon and Talmadge McLendon, all of 
Colquitt; a sister, Mrs. George Loyless of Brinson; seven grandchildren and 
four great-grandchildren.

Colquitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

** John Ivey McLendon was born 06 Novmeber 1899 in Miller Co., GA and died 28 
December 1981.  He is buried at Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 
Miller Co., GA. He was the son of Charlie Ivey McLendon and Allie Mae 
McCullers**
