Mr. McNair was born in Early County October 3, 1910. His parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Bryan L. McNair. He was a member of Milford Methodist Church. He was a retired farmer. Funeral service was held Wednesday, November 7, 1984, at 3:00 p. m. at the Milford Baptist Church. Interment was in the Christ Cemetery in Arlington. Rev. John Mathis and Rev. T. A. McDonald officiated. Active pallbearers were Mike Irvin, Mike Lanier, George Tennille, William Hammill, Gene Melvin and Gerald Griffin. Honorary pallbearers Bryan Tabb, Clarence Bryan, Ross Norton, Louie Kidd, Charlie Ray, Hubert Campbell, Lemuel Collins, Hugh Kidd, Anderson Hudgins, Clete Horn, Jim Fowles, Henry Simmons, Wren Bagley, Jim Futrell, Deborah Sox, Ivan Tomblin, Tommy Jowers and Bill Willis. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Posey McNair; two sons, Nick McNair, Lexington, S. C. and Hamill McNair, Camilla; one brother, Carl McNair, Dublin; one sister, Mrs. Imogene Mapp, Forest Park, and five grandchildren. Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
