Mr. Taylor was born October 29, 1933 in Lakeland, Fl. He was a member of Colquitt United Methodist Church, a member of Georgia Bankers Association and Alabama Bankers Association. He was a retired banker. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Colquitt United Methodist Church with the Rev. Matt Stewart and the Rev. W. H. Phillips officiating. Pallbearers were Pete Miller, John Hanington, Bill Stuart, Joe Adams, Eddie Adams, and Randy Adams. Honorary pallbearers were Alvin Newton, Dr. Hinton Merritt, Jerry Grimsley, Sonny Grow, Lamar Brooks, Ricky Stuckey, Terry Toole, Billy Lanford, Charles Bevis, Garland Mears, and Bill Cox. Survivors include his wife, India Taylor, Colquitt; three daughters, Lana Stuart, Leesburg, Paula Hanington, Albany, and Marcie Miller, Bainbridge; one sister, Pat Bush, Colquitt; three grandchildren, Laura Haire, Ashton Miller, and Shelby Miller; and one great-grandson, Aidan Haire. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or the Colquitt United Methodist Church. Colquitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
