Carpenter COLQUITT Benonia W. Carpenter, 67, of Colquitt, died Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at her residence. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Colquitt Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Colquitt City Cemetery. The Rev. S.E. Newberry and the Rev. Tommy Carpenter will officiate. Active pallbearers will be Spud Bush, Steve Holt, Bobby Cox, Larry Lane, Buddy Rentz, and Tony Everson. A native of Miller County, Mrs. Carpenter, was born November 16, 1934. She was a retired nurse and a member of Colquitt Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Barb Carpenter of Sioux Falls, SD, Ricky and Jan Carpenter of Colquitt, and Scott and Liani Carpenter of Leesburg, FL; sister, June Darley of Colquitt; and seven grandchildren, Braden Carpenter, Caylan Carpenter and Carissa Carpenter of Sioux Falls, SD, Alecia Carpenter and Lance Carpenter, both of Colquitt, and Austin Merritt and Marsha Merritt of Leesburg, FL. Visitation will be 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
