The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Colquitt United Methodist Church with interment in Colquitt City Cemetery. The Rev. Floyd Mitchell and Capt. Ashley Darley will officiate. Edwin Wilkin, Ronnie Wilkin, Lawson Wilkin, Pat Dyar Jr., Winkie Wilkin Jr. and Peter Wilkin will serve as pallbearers. Harry Wells, Charles Jordon, James Moore, Choice Houston, Charles Bevis, Ricky Smith, Doug Lewis, Dr. Hinton Merritt, Wallace Reagan, Alan Boyd and the members of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division will serve as honorary pallbearers. A native of Miller County, Mr. Wilkin was retired from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division after 25 years and served during World War II with the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of Colquitt United Methodist Church, Walter C. Dancer Lodge #115, the Albany Hasan Shrine Temple, the William M. Wilson VFW Post #6046 and the Gerald Grow Post #165 American Legion. He was a graduate of Miller County High School and attended South Georgia College in Douglas. He was inducted in the Miller County Sports Hall of Fame. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Barbara Wilkin of Colquitt; a daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Guy Moulder of Warner Robins; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Sharon Wilkin of Vienna; three brothers, E.B. Wilkin of Colquitt, Winston Wilkin of Atlanta and John B. Wilkin of Orlando, Fla.; four grandchildren, Macy Moulder, Nicholas Moulder, Brad Wilkin and Jessica Wilkin. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Martha Jones, Virginia Dyar and Ann Wilkin and four brothers, P.E. Wilkin Jr., George Wilkin, Felix Wilkin and Marvin Wilkin.
