The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Thompsontown Freewill Baptist Church with interment in Thompson Cemetery. The Rev. Walter Daniels will officiate. The pallbearers will be Bryan Thompson, DeVaught Thompson, Matt Thompson, Russ Thompson, Larry Williams and Lamar Grimes. A native of Miller County, Mr. Thompson was a construction tile setter and served in the Navy. He was a member of Thompsontown Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include his sons, Robbie Thompson of California, Stacy Thompson and Tracy Thompson, both of Dothan, Ala.; mother, Nan Thompson of Colquitt; four brothers, Gerald Thompson, Walter Thompson and DeVaughn Thompson, all of Colquitt and E.C. Thompson of Dothan, Ala.; two sisters, Carolyn Rodridgz of Colquitt and Barbara Jones of Albany; a grandson and several nieces and nephews also survive. A special friend, Faye Sorrells of Iron City. Visitation will be 7 p.m.-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
