The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Colquitt Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Colquitt City Cemetery with full military honors. The Rev. Walter Daniels will officiate. The pallbearers will be Steve Griffin, Danny Griffin, Tommy Davis, Bo Everson, Dan Minnix and Felix Tabb Jr. Mr. Cox was a native of Verona, Mississippi and was a retired farmer. After 20 years of service, Mr. Cox retired from the U.S. Army as a chief warrant officer. He was a member of the Albany Hasan Temple and an honorary member of the Walter C. Dancer Lodge #115. He was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his son, Bill Cox Jr. of Colquitt; two grandchildren, Caryn Jordan and Ray Cox; a great-grandchild, Lucas Jordan. Visitation will be 7 p.m.-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. ED GORDON
