Mrs. Chambers was born in Worth County to the late Jessie and Minnie Branch. She was a housewife and a member of New Home Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral Services were held Saturday, October 31, 1992, at 4 p.m. at the Colquitt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Ebersole officiating. Interment followed in the Whites Bridge Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Marion Chambers of Colquitt; two sons, Wayne Dennis Chambers of Colquitt and William Dallas Chambers of Conyers; one daughter, Laverne Phillips of Colquitt; two brothers, Obie L. Branch of Nashville and Tommy Branch of Crawfordville; one sister Annamode Waldon of Albany, N. Y.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Albert Phillips, Terry McVey, Larry Phillips, Arnold Gibson, Tim Gibson and Michael Phillips. Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements."
