B. Baughn had the grave of his father the late V. B. Baughn, opened and had the remains moved to the cemetery. About 19 years ago Col. V. B. Baugh, who was an esteemed attorney, died at his home here and his body was interred in a family lot near the Sheffield homestead where his wife was reared. The old home passed from one to another. The widow of Col. Baughn a short time before her death, became the wife of Mr. Sam Morton. When she died her body was interred in the cemetery here and it was by her grave that Dr. Baughn had the remains of his father placed, in a new made grave. Time had coverted the body of Col.. Baughn back to dust. Nothing but the bones and his shoe soles remained. Even the case which first enclosed the body had crumbled to dust. Dr. Baughn bought a new casket and had the bones placed in that for this last interment."
