She was the mother of Mrs. W. E. Hunter of this place and a sister of Mr. John Hand who lives here and of Mrs. W. J. Grimes who resides east of this place. The deceased was better know here as Mrs. Sallie Wolf. She was a resident of this community during her girlhood. Early in life she became the wife of Mr. Wolf whose tragic death in a swamp where he is said to have committed suicide is well remembered by the older citizens. After several years spent in widowhood she became the wife of Mr. John Hatcher who survives her. She has not been well for some time but she was seriously ill from Saturday until death relieved her suffering Tuesday. The deceased leaves several children and many other relatives who grieve over the loss of one who possessed so many womanly virtues. Her body was brought back to this county for interment and was buried in the Hand Cemetery Wednesday in the presence of a large concourse of sympathizing friends and relatives. After life's fitful fever she sleeps well."
