Joe Tom McLendon
Rites Set Saturday In Seminole County.
Donalsonville, Ga. __ Funeral services for Joe Tom McLendon, 54, of Iron
City, will be held Saturday at 3. p. m. at New Home Freewill Baptist Church
with interment in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Reverend J. J. Scott and rev. J. B. Lumpkin will officiate and Evans
Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McLendon died Thursday morning in a Colquitt hospital after a lengthy
illness.
Survivors include his wife, six sons, David McLendon, Brinson, Carroll
McLendon, Bainbridge, Melton McLendon, Joe McLendon, Hinton McLendon and
Benton McLendon, all of Iron City; three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Martin,
Albany, Miss Patricia McLendon and Miss Brenda McLendon, both of Iron City;
six brothers, Ivey McLendon, Felder McLendon, Rabon McLendon, Ed McLendon and
Talmadge McLendon, all of Colquitt, and Cecil McLendon, Ontario, Wis.; a
sister, Mrs. J. W. Loyless Bainbridge, Bainbridge, and six grandchildren.
****Joe Tom McLendon was born 05 March 1906 Miller Co., GA and died 09
February 1961 Seminole Co., GA. He married Rebecca Pauline "Teany" Loyless
16 December 1930 in Miller Co., GA Book G, Page 188.
Joe Tom McLendon was the son of Charlie Ivey McLendon and Allie Mae McCullers.
