Phillips ALBANY William A. Phillips, 67, of 3511 Bradley Lane in Baconton, died Thursday, January 10, 2002, at his residence. The funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Kimbrell-Stern. The Rev. Billy D. Hanna officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery. A native of Colquitt, GA, Mr. Phillips had lived in the Albany and Baconton area for 47 years where he was employed with Rubo's Grocery for 25 years, member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, and served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. Survivors include his wife, Laverne Coley of Albany, GA; one son, William A. Phillips of Albany, GA; one daughter, Tami Temples of Damascus, GA; three granddaughters; one grandson; two step granddaughters; four sisters, Veda Smith of Leesburg, GA, Martha Ward of Florida, Dorothy Montgomery of Florida, Jody Herren of Leesburg, GA; three brothers, Sam Phillips of Colquitt, GA, L.Z. Phillips of Blakely, GA, Ronnie Phillips of Colquitt, GA.
