She was born in Miller County on December 12, 1923. She was a retired paraprofessional from Miller County High School and a member of Bellview Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services for Mrs. Wade were held on Tuesday, February 8, at 2:00 p.m. at the Colquitt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cliff Holland officiating. Interment followed at Colquitt City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Hammock, Jeffrey Hammock, Brooks Wade, Randy Clenney, Joe Martin and Don Brown. Survivors include her husband, W. J. Wade, Colquitt; two sons, Tommy Wade and Stan Wade, both of Colquitt; one daughter Cheryl Hammock, Chicago, IL; two sisters, Grace McDonald and Rodie Kosmacek, both of Marietta; one brother, Calvin Everett, Colquitt; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. (Mildred was the daughter of Edward Joshua Everett and Lena Williams Everett of Miller County.)
