Item 1st I wish and direct my Executors as soon as possible after my death to pay my debts if there be any. Item 2nd I wish and direct that my property both real and personal remain together for the benefit of my beloved wife Nancy L. Day for and during her natural life or widowhood, and at her death, I desire that all my property both real and personal be sold & proceeds be equally divided between my children to wit: Mary Montery Westbrook, Laura Carmichael, Alpha Land, J W Day, Sallie Wood, Nora Wood, Alma Watson, Nannie Tucker and the two children of my son John Day now deceased to wit: Lee Day and John Wesley Day, to get and receive one child's part. Also I desire and direct that one equal child's distributive share of my estate be paid to my daughter Henrietta Hood and her seven children. Said one share of my estate to be equally divided between my said daughter Henrietta Hood and her seven children. Item 3rd I direct that my Executors hereinafter named to sell off any surplus stock or tools that may be on hand and not needed for the support and maintenance of my said wife Nancy L. Day. Item 4th I ____ and direct that my Executors sell any property both real and personal at private sale or public sale as they may deem but and to the best advantage of my heirs. Item 5th I direct that my Executors be relieved from making bond as Executors of my estate also of having myproperty appraised and making annual returns to the Court of Ordy, and relieve them of all expense in the management of my estate except the amount necessary in the Probating this my will. Item 6th I do hereby appoint my son J W Day and J Westbrook, my son-in-law Executors of this my will. In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand this day of April 1906. J. L.
