Hargrove To Francis M. Colquitt Deed Book 1 page 541, 542 & 543 Know all men by these presence that I Charles G. Hargrove of the County of Oglethorpe & State of Georgia have made constituted & appointed & by these presents do make constitute & appoint Francis M. Colquitt of the County of Upson and the State of Georgia my True & lawful attorney to sell a tract of land number (321) Three Hundred & Twenty One situate lying & being in the 11th Eleventh District of originally Early now Baker County containing Two Hundred and Fifty acres more or less to enter unto & take possession of all the real estate belonging to me situated in the County of Baker & State of Georgia & to bargain sell grant convey and confirm the whole in any part thereof for such price of sum of money or on such terms as he may think best for me and in my name to make execute acknowledge & deliver unto the purchaser or purchers thereof good & sufficient conveyances with warranty of the same & to demand receive & collect all sums of money which shall become due & payable to me by reason of such sales or sales giving & granting unto my said Atty full power & authority to do & perform all & every act & thing whatsoever requisite & necessary to be done in and about the premises as full to all intents & purposes as I might on counts do if present. Colquitt of the County of Mitchell & State of Georgia and James J. Mayo of the other part of Doughery County State of Georgia witness that said Francis M. Colquitt for and in consideration of the sum of Six Thousand dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt where of is ( page 542 ) hereby acknowledged has granted bargained and sold conveyed unto the said James J. Mayo his heirs & assigns all that tract of land situate lying and being in the County of Mitchell State of Georgia in the Eleventh District of said County containing Five Hundred acres more or less No. Three Hundred and Sixteen (316) & No. Three Hundred & Twenty One (321) to have and to hold said tract of land unto him the said James J. Mayo his heirs & assigns together with all and singular the rights members & appurtenances there of together the same in any manner belonging to his or their own proper use benefit & behoof forever in fee simple and the said Francis M. Colquitt for himself his heirs Executors & Administrators hath conveyed the bargined premises unto the said James J.
