Some two months since, Mr. Crawson was aroused at midnight by a dog and drove off a strange dog engaged in a fight with his own. In parting them, however, the visiting cur bit Mr. Crawson slightly on the hand. The next day Mr. Crawson's dog died, and it transpired that the intruding cur bit a neighbor's dog the same night from the effects of which he also died. This caused some uneasiness to Mr. Crawson, but as the wound on hand healed readily he thought it was nothing serious. On the 6th of July, however, he was taken suddenly sick and those attending say he died with all the symptoms of hydrophobia.
