Albany Herald April 1996, Volume I 
(1845-1852).  Mr. Samuel Luckey, Jr., a young man about 21 years old, fell from the 
ferry boat at Newton (Baker), Georgia, on the evening of the 3d instant, and was 
drowned.  Efforts were immediately made by many citizens to recover the body, but 
without success.
