Camilla, Georgia. Death entered the home of Mr. Ralph Sharpe on the R. T. Cochran place Saturday, 21 Feb 1920, night claiming Mrs. Sharpe, who had been ill for several days with influenza. The end came at 11:30 PM Saturday night. The whole family had been ill with influenza for several days and it was peculiarly sad that the wife and mother should be taken, leaving eight children sick and bereft of a mother's care. Funeral services were held at Oakview cemetery Sunday, 22 Feb 1920, afternoon at 4:00 PM. Rev. J. I. D. Miller conducted the services. A large number of friends and neighbors attended the funeral. Mrs. Sharpe was about 35 years of age when death removed her from an active and useful life. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Mulford and was born and brought up in this county. She possessed sweet and loving disposition and many beautiful traits of character. In the little home where as wife and mother she stood for so much, her loss is irreparable. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church and a professed follower of Christ. Besides a sorrowing husband and eight children, the deceased is also survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Mulford, and five sisters, Mrs. Jack Hayes, Mrs. Cap Hayes, Mrs. N. E. Hayes, Mrs. Warner Hayes and Miss Mattie Mulford, all of this county. The heartbroken family have the tender sympathy of a large number of friends in their hour of sorrow.
