Ott as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 2 Sep 1927. Camilla, Georgia. Mr. G. W. Ott, for many years a highly esteemed citizen of this county, but recently making his home with his son, Rev A. G. Ott, at Doerun, died Tuesday 23 August 1927. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Pelham and internment was made in the Pelham Cemetery. Mr. Ott formerly lived near Camilla and had many friends in this section of the county who learned of his death with deep regret. He was a Confederate veteran and was crippled from wounds he received in the war. He had been a member of the Baptist church since early manhood and was a consistent Christian. He is survived by the following sons and daughters: Rev A. G. Ott of Doerun; Mr. John Ott, Mrs. D. Kierce and Mrs. L. A. Simpson of this county.
