Camilla, Georgia. Mr. Robert Morgan, a well known and highly respected citizen of this county, died Wednesday, 18 April, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H.E. Sloan, in Meigs, Ga. Mr. Morgan had been in failing health for some time and recently had been bedridden and a great sufferer. Funeral services were held at Mt. Zion church near Camilla last Friday morning, Rev. S.O. Thomas conducting services. Mr. Morgan was 87 years of age and had spent practically his entire life in the county. He was a confederate veteran, having given three eventful years to the service of the South. He was held in high esteem by all who knew him and had a host of friends throughout the county who have been saddened by his death. Bereft of his faithful wife last October, Mr. Morgan is survived by only three members of his immediate family, as follows: Mrs. H.E. Sloan of Meigs; Messrs. Joe and Andrew Morgan of Cotton of this county.
