Camilla, Georgia. Sale City and surrounding community was saddened by the death of Mrs. Fronie Shirah Mansfield, which occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charlie Harris, at Sale City. Mrs. Mansfield's home was at Leesburg, Fla. She came down here two weeks ago hoping the change would benefit her. She gradually grew worse and the end came Saturday, 22 Jun 1929, at 8:30 AM. She was the daughter of the late A. G. Shirah, of this county, and wife of Morg Mansfield. Mrs. Mansfield was 50 ;years old and has lived in this county most of her life. To know her was to love her. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and will be sadly missed in her community. Besides her husband, she leaves four children, Mrs. E. E. Rackley of Sale City; Alex Mansfield of Albany, Alex Mansfield of Albany and Reggie Mansfield of Leesburg. Also nine grandchildren and seven sisters besides a host of friends and other relatives. The remains were laid to rest Sunday, 23 Jun 1929, afternoon in the Sale City cemetery. Rev W. T. Halstead and Rev W. T. Rigsby conducted the funeral amid a host of friends and relatives. The Vaughn Radio Quartette sand two songs. The family has the sympathy of the community of Sale City and Leesburg in their dark hour. Bit God, who doeth all things well and never makes mistakes will heal the wounded hearts and some day we will understand.
