Camilla, Georgia. Mr. T. W. Shirah, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Shirah, Sr., of Hopeful community, passed away at the home of his parents Monday morning, 28 Nov 1927, at 3:00 AM. Death was due to an affliction from which Mr. Shirah had suffered from childhood. For some time past his condition had been very serious and the end, which came as a relief from his suffering, was not unexpected by the family. Mr. Shirah was 28 years of age. Besides his parents he is survived by a large family of brothers and sisters as follows: Carl Shirah of Bainbridge; J. E., G. W. Jr., and S. C. Shirah of Hopeful; Mrs. W. D. Cain of Bainbridge; Mrs. J. C. Harmon of Doerun; Mrs. T. A. Pope, Mrs. Ralph Jackson and Miss Sadie Mae Shirah of Hopeful. Also one half sister and two half brothers, Mrs. Z. H. Sellers of Pebble City, J. A. Shirah of Palmetto, Fla., and W. M. Shirah of Hinsonton of this county. Funeral services were held at Hopeful Monday, 30 Nov 1927, afternoon at 3:30 PM and were conducted by Rev J. I. D. Miller of Camilla.
