D. Joiner as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 20 Jul 1923. Mr. W. C. D. Joiner commonly known as Billy Joiner, passed away at his home near Pleasant Hill Sunday afternoon, 15 Jul 1923 . Mr. Joiner was about 67 years old at his death. He was born in Taylor County and moved to Mitchell County in 1871. In 1890 he married Miss Tempie Faircloth. Mr. Faircloth joined the Methodist church at Branchville when a youth. He is survived by a widow, four daughters and two sons. The daughters are: Mrs. Timothy Barnes, Mrs. Euco Luckey, Mrs. Ernest Lawson and Miss Ethel Lee Joiner. His sons are Carl and Cosby Joiner. Mr. Joiner is also survived by six brothers and one sister, Joe Joiner of Pelham, John Joiner of Branchville, James T. Joiner also of Branchville, Thomas J. Joiner of Newton, Middleton Joiner of Branchville, Charlie Joiner of Florida, Mrs. Joe Andrews of Branchville. The funeral service was conducted by Rev J. H. House of Camilla and assisted by Rev S. O. Thomas at Pleasant Hill Monday at 3:00 PM.
