Booth as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 27 Dec 1935. Mr. G. W. Booth, for many years agent for the Flint River and Northeastern Railway Company at Sale City, died at a hospital in Moultrie at five o'clock Christmas morning, 25 Dec 1935, following a two weeks illness from pneumonia. He was 65 years old and had been a citizen of this county for nearly half a century and was widely known and esteemed as a citizen and leader in business and civic affairs of his community. He was a prominent Mason and that fraternity had charge of the service at the grave Thursday, 26 Dec 1935, afternoon at the Sale City cemetery, following the religious services conducted at 3:00 PM. A large number of sorrowing relatives and friends attended the services. Mr. Booth is survived by his wife and two sons; Mr. Albert Booth of Moultrie, and Mr. Charlie Ray Booth of Sale City. He was a active member of the Baptist church and his influence was a moral force in the community. His passing, following a short illness, came as a sad shock to friends throughout the county who deeply sympathize with the bereaved family.
